With just one week left, now is the time to promote STAND UP and SPEAK OUT everywhere! Let's publicize the day so that everyone in the world -- political leaders and citizens -- are aware of our attempt to set a new Guinness World Record and break the record of broken promises.

On October 16 + 17, millions will demand an end to poverty and inequality and the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals. With your help, many voices will come together as one and Speak Out so loudly that we cannot be ignored. It is up to you to spread the word and let all your friends, family and neighbors know that we are the first generation that can end poverty and we will not miss this historic opportunity.

Supporters have created many tools to help you get the word out.

Use Your Social Networks to Promote Stand Up and Speak Out

You can support the iniative on many communities such as Facebook, MySpace, Change.org, Windows Live Spaces, or any other network to which you belong. Here are a few ideas:

  • Update your status message to show your support
  • Change your profile picture to include a Stand Up and Speak Out Logo
  • Add the End Poverty Facebook application
  • Become friends with the Stand Up profiles on many social networks

Several campaigns and supporters have created videos to promote Stand Up and Speak Out. View the videos and click the "more info" link on the right of each video to add it to your website or blog.

  • Share the video links with your friends
  • Use your webcam, camera, or cameraphone to create your own video response. Just click the "Respond to this video" link below each video (free YouTube account required).
